With a feisty Google Page Rank of 4, Cuil is set to take on the mighty G! The brainchild of Anna Patterson, her husband, Tom Costello, and two other former Google engineers — Russell Power and Louis Monier — the search is ON!
White becomes Black and multicoloured text becomes blue, but similar to Google the initial search screen is purely adhorned by a search box and a name. Type in your search term and you’ll see a few pages of pictorial and text results in a fairly trendy presentation of SERPs.
I’ve typed in a few of my high ranking Google keywords and in Cuil, I’m nowhere to be found! I guess these guys have got a lot of settling to do, but this begs the question…what is the shape of the Cuil Algorithm.
Insiders state that, Cuils search results are based on deep analysis of pages rather than the importance of link popularity and authority. Relevance is high on the agenda but boasting an index as huge as 123 Billion web pages we all wait to see how the netting process fairs in the race for relevance.
Anna Pattersons has previous links to Google, in fact her previous search engine technology (Recall) was so impressive that Google purchased it to improve the search experience for current Google users. After leaving Google in 2006, Patterson made it her mission to develop an even better search engine experience with VC funding to the tune of $33M.
The challenge between Cuil and Google is that for perfect relevance and pertenance, the purest and refined form of search result, something that Google has pretty much dominated for the past 8-9 years without real challenge from some long established search engine counterparts.
What can we expect from Cuil (pronounced Cool) over the coming years? Well, many others have gone before and fallen, take a look at other engines like Teoma, will Cuil succeed? The difference here is that the creators are ex Google employees with an inside track, will this provide them with a real advantage or is this pure bravado?
One thing that is for certain, the searcher wins…lets hope that Cuil creates a rival to adwords in cyberspace so that the marketer can also profit!

Faster than a bullet the TS2 product was launched out of the gate and if you’re on a number of lists it’s interesting to see how the build up has grown and the activity surrounding it.
I have noticed that a number of Internet Marketers have rushed to promote their own traffic systems on the back of JRs product launch, this is an obvious tactic and is obviously quite a successful approach as people are poised with credit cards seeking to get one step closer to their desired outcome. Bolting on another traffic “secrets” course can only help can’t it? Well it can only help if you actually do something with it, buying the stuff doesn’t actually do anything other than make you feel that you’ve secured your success in internet marketing.
The best analogy for this is buying a gym membership. Millions of people every year (usually as a new years resolution) join a gym to get in shape, they have a movie in their heads of how they would like to appear to the general masses, muscular, slim, toned, tanned, healthy and vibrant! A gym membership costs on average $80 per month (depending on the quality) so joining is a serious investment! How many people have joined a gym and only worked out there a couple of times (or sat in the sauna) and then never revisited but continued to pay the membership? The answer is a resounding millions! You see, we buy things to take us closer to our desired goal, buying stuff makes us feel like we’re actually achieving something but, like the Traffic Secrets 2.0 course, if you buy it and then put it on the shelf you will move further away from your goal of internet riches because you are now $395.00 worse off!
What is the sense in this? If you buy any iM course. any Keyword Tool, any iM membership, go to any iM seminars, join any gyms…make sure that you use the facilities to achieve your goals and desires, take action, stop buying stuff! This is the REAL SECRET!
Recently there appears to have been a large number of affiliate secret styles of product launches into the iM arena, these products expose the methods and tactics of affiliate marketers in general.
Do we trust them? Can we really believe that the gurus are really giving away their crown jewels? The gravy that creates the social proof clickbank screenshots?? Well I guess the only way to find out is to purchase a few of these ‘tactical’ launches and try them out for yourself. If you have any results from putting these methods into practice then share the outcome in forums or sites like this. In this way future prospects can confidently tread where you have dared and the gurus can earn trust from your social proof.
Unfortunately there are scam artists out there who appear and then disappear, but there’s a trick here too, look at who is referring the products, if they come from a trusted source who’s reputation online is of a higher grade which has been cultivated over a long period of time, then the chances are that the product is good to go, referrals from Gurus are carefully planned as their long-term reputation is at stake.
Where this can all fall down is when the product that you buy is beyond your technical scope and the methods are too advanced for you to comprehend or escalate to. This should not be the fault of the creator, you just need to shelve the product, learn more and then revisit it later. For example, a newbie out of the blocks would not be happy buying an advanced course of say Mass Control or Product launch Formula status, if their technical abilities do not allow them to apply the principals in which the course recommends. There are many levels to iM and purchasers of new products should first of all assess as to what their own technical competencies are before investing, sometimes the length of time that it takes a newbie to catch up to the level of the products expertise can surpass the relevancy and effectiveness of that product.
In essence, check out the creator, ask your self questions about yourself and read through the sales letter or landing page to fully understand the content before taking the plunge…buying internet marketing products is addicitive, there is a feel good factor attached to buying…stuff! As Frank Kern frequently states in his seminars and blogs, each product that is acquired moves the prospect one step closer to their desire…there may be 1000 steps to go yet!
