Bigger is better some might say, but for your evidence visit almost any fast food restaurant, and you’ll see evidence of the increasingly common belief that bigger appear to be better. Upscale dining establishments, and fast food restaurants zealously encourage their patrons to upsize their drinks and fries and pile food high on their customers’ plates.

“Bigger is better” many websites have taken this assumption to heart, also. Prime example superstores like Overstock shopping store.com and huge shopping centers like Wal-mart have websites consisting of thousands upon thousands of wonderful pages. And you know what they are doing rather well for themselves.

So many large websites online, were should you start, it may seem futile to try to get a slice of the pie. The normal human being doesn’t have the time or money to set up such a big operation, or even try to continue it. On the other hand you don’t have to. In a sea of Internet moguls a niche mini site can grow .

Another good reason why mini sites work is because they do not directly compete with the bigger web sites. A niche mini site is a business that focuses on a niche market that address a need for a product or service that is not being addressed by mainstream providers, instead of trying to be all things to all people. In this atmosphere, in a sense, smaller is much, much better.

A good number of unbeaten mini sites go after a small but underserved niche. They find a need that isn’t being filled, and they fill it. This puts them into a position to get better rankings in the search engines, “A search engine is a tool etd to help you find information on the Internet” and because the keywords that individuals use to find their offerings are not often targeted by webmasters of larger sites. With some good SEO, (SEO is the attempt to modify something about your Web site to improve the quality of your ranking within the big search engines), they can get targeted traffic at very little expense.

Hopefully, the sales letter grabs their attention once the visitors are at your mini site, and, influence them to make a purchase. Those individuals who are on the fence may sign up for a free course or newsletter. This offers the chance to stay in touch and convince them to buy later on.

There are millions of other web pages online, and a mini site can hold its own against them. You just need a good niche, a quality product and a strong sales pitch.
